The Problem With Urban Sprawl
Do you know about TED? This is an incredible annual conference where some of the most amazing thinkers in the world get together and talk about issues and solutions. They share ideas. Now everyone can see what they are talking about and since most of the content is in the form of short videos. Now everyone can benefit from what they are saying.
This video of James Howard Kunstler seems to do a very good job explaining the real behind urban sprawl in America. Bad design, or more accurately, a complete lack understanding of what good community design is about, is devaluing America every day.
I’m including this video on this blog because it describes some of the bigger problems tiny houses are trying to solve. If we only focus on the tiny houses themselves we miss the bigger issues and we solve only a subset of the community building challenges we’re facing.
