Walking Tiny House

Now this is wild, a walking house. Created by the Danish artist collective N55, this little house is powered by wind and solar and can literally walk slowly over different terrain. While walking three of the six legs are always on the ground providing the needed stability. It’s intended to provide the basic necessities for four people and multiple units can be configured into larger homes or even walking villages.

I like several things about this tiny house concept. The walking is cool especially if you wanted to walk it back to a spot on your property not easily reached by a truck and trailer. The unusual shape just seems kind of cool and out-of-the-box thinking is good for sparking more out-of-the-box thinking. I also like the size; just walk it onto a flatbed trailer for longer trips. Lastly, I love the foundation, the legs. Robotic legs seem a bit much but what if a tiny house had extendible legs with wide feet on jacks. Roll a trailer under it, life the legs and you’re off.
