I've always liked teardrops, and the idea of how to make a usable bicyle-towed teardrop has been bugging me for weeks. How about this: a combination hard metal shell and tent.

The basic trailer is about Once the campsite is reached, the front and back half of the shell would split apart, with the floor caexpanding like some dining room tables do. Theand an insert can be set in place in the floor, and your trailer is 7' long, plenty of space for sleeping. Then a quick tent covering the opening in the middle, set up with 2 poles, plus a rain fly.

Would it be worth doing, practical? So-so, maybe, but it would sure look cool. I did a pretty accurate model on sketchup, but have no idea how to show people. How do I?

Wow great post Michael! Really enjoyed looking at all the trailers and pvc bicycles. Is it still a bicycle if it has 4 wheels? :-) I found some more pics of pvc bicycles:

Does Roy sells plans for these bicycles?
