Design It: Shelter Competition Finalists

The voting has begun at the Design It: Shelter Competition. Ten finalists were chosen by students at the Frank Lloyd Wright School of Architecture. It’s exciting to see small space design get so much positive attention and the designs are well crafted in Google SketchUp and innovative. The only thing that disappointed me was that so few of the tiny shelter concepts could actually be used as homes. Be sure to cast your vote at the Design It: Shelter Competition.

What a joke. Very fanciful ideas but most are worthless as an actual cost effective structure to live in.

    • Thanks Mike… yeah… I was a bit disappointed too.

I wonder if the judges would have seen the beauty of a tiny simple HOME. I’m thinking they might have been thinking that tiny shelters were best as cabanas and bus stops… pitty.
